Message: Robert Wormus HHS Class of 60' April 7th, 2013 This is the first time I have ever put this in print; an interesting story, that could have changed The Beach Boy's history. Although they'll probably remember it, even Brian Wilson and Al Jardine doesn't know the full story. I was too embarrassed to tell anyone. In the Summer of 1960, I attended El Camino College. Brian Wilson and Al Jardine told me they might need a ride home, I said, no problem, they'd been in my red 1960 MGA sports car before. Later, I told my best friend, Steve Wolfe, he'd have to hold onto the roll bar, while sitting on the trunk. Fortunately, he declined, and when it came time to go home, Brian and Al were no shows. Ten minutes later, I had an accident, almost totaling the car. Needless to say, Beach Boy History was altered that day! For more information robert@rcwormus.com imnubgentl@aol.com

Message: I want to thank everyone on Feedback and at last nights Cruise night for all the Birthday wishes. You really made me feel special. And thank you ladies for all the Hugs and Kisses. Its great to have a large family and you all are my family. My wife Ann and I always have a great time and always grow closer to the Cougar family when we get together. Ann went to Inglewood high, however she feels much more connected to Hawthorne High Cougars because you all make her feel part of the Cougar family. It was another great Cruise Night, we missed all who didn't attend. We will see all of you at the next one. If you have never gone to a Cruise Night, come out and feel the love of old and new friends. Remember, the older we get, the better we were. Again, I thank you all for making Ann and I feel special.

Second, Dean, sorry to hear of your mother's passing, no matter how old our parents it's still a shock when we realize the people we relied upon for everything is no longer available. I was an orphan at age 50. It is a difficult transition, happy to talk to you about it. God bless you and your family Dean!
Finally, to the Cougar stalker, I have no doubt you would look in a hay stack in borneo for a Cougar sighting as I was with you after we had lunch some weeks ago then you wanted to go to Monty Roberts Ranch [the horse whisperer] and you looked through one of those final stages of a haystack saying you just never know where a Cougar may be sighted.

Message: I'll probably be at cruise night. I'll have to take a nap so I have enough strength to get ready and drive over there. I'll have to leave here by 4:30. Then I'll leave cruise night before it gets dark and be home before the sun goes down. I don't like driving in the dark anymore. I'll most likely miss the early bird special if I don't get to Cocoa's by 3:00 p.m., but that's okay. I hope I don't get lost when I start driving to cruise night, as I sometimes forget where I'm going. Message: My Mom, Mrs. Faye Morris, passed away at the age of 92 last Tuesday morning at the Kaiser hospital in San Bruno. She was born and raised in Great Falls, MT where as a young woman she was a civilain employee and always the friedliest of parents in her Holly Glen neigborhood. She loved to travel and see places all over the world. Mom was active with the schools, youth sports, league of women voters and so forth. For all who knew her, please say a little prayer as she reunites with old friends and family. Our loss will be Heaven's gain.

Message: Janet, I'll tell you what else a girl could ask for... Picture it..Cruise night, Fosters for a hamburger and a shake, Dan Dye meets you there, then off in Dan's car to the Century Drive in for a double feature and a pizza, then back to Hawthorne and into A&W for another hamburger and a root beer float. Then cruise the blvd for a couple of hours and drop in to Taco Tio for a chili size and a coke. Last stop, a drive to PV to lookout point ( yes, all with DD ) ~~~~~~Never mind, that was the 60's and it was in my dreams. I got acid indigestion just talking about it.

Message: You can't keep a good stalker down! Had a good sighting today..Some friends wanted to do an outing to Disneyland today. Going through the gate to the haunted mansion I noticed the Disney castmembers name was Cathie. I looked at her carefully and I was sure I recognized her. I said, "Excuse me are you from Hawthorne High and Cougartown Cathie?" "Yes she said, I know you...you're Mil...ton! "Close but not quite." I said. "Millman..Clark Millman." It was Cathie Roebuck! A legitimate sighting because I had no idea she was there. In your face Sloey! I'm beginning to believe I can find a Cougar in a haystack in Borneo! I was on campus at HHS yesterday to give a personal invite to Mark Newell to cruise nigyht. As it is Spring break the campus was locked down tight and few people around. I snuck in through the back door of the cafeteria. Someone on Cougartown asked what the new structure is that is being built on the old senior parking lot. Everyone I asked said it is the new science building. Still some classrooms on the east side of campus..buildings 6,7,8,9 & 10 are still there. Principal Newell was nowhere to be found but I had a nice chat with most of the HHS band doing Spring break practice. They wanted to know what the school was like in the 70s. I told them it was awesome, like Leave it to Beaver land. They asked if I went to school with the Beach Boys. I said" Do I look old like John Baker?!!!" I invited them all to Cruise night and I think a group of them will be there. Looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday. I'm coming in a hot rod!
